Jamaican Jerk Seasoning

This product should be stored in a cool (<21 C or 70 F), dry (<60% RH) area to provide maximum shelf life without loss of taste or functional characteristics.

Ingredients :
Spices (paprika), Salt, Dehydrated vegetables (garlic, chives).

Prepared in Canada

All you need:
- Jamaican Jerk Seasonings (included)
- 45 ml (3 tbsp) lemon juice
- 45 ml (3 tbsp) olive oil
- 4 medium chicken breasts or chicken thighs
- 30 ml (2 tbsp) oil for searing the chicken

All we do:

In a small bowl, mix together Jerk seasoning, lemon juice and olive oil. Rub Jerk mixture evenly over chicken breasts, refrigerate for 15 minutes (a few hours is best). Preheat oven to 400ºF (200ºC). In a large skillet, heat oil over medium-high heat, sear marinated chicken for a few minutes until golden brown. Be careful not to let the pan get too hot and burn the oil or cause smoking. Transfer browned chicken to preheated oven in a heatproof dish, cook until internal temperature of chicken reaches 165ºF (75ºC), about 15 to 20 minutes. Also great when prepared on the grill. Remove from oven and serve. Enjoy with a side of rice and peas.

Alternative recipe, Jamaican Jerk Salmon:
Preheat oven to 425ºF (220ºC). In a small bowl, mix together Jerk Seasoning, lemon juice and olive oil. Rub Jerk Seasoning evenly over salmon fillet. Place salmon on a foil-lined baking sheet, skin side down. Bake for 10-12 minutes.
