All you need: .3 kg (5 lbs) bone-in pork shoulder (or 1.8 kg or 4 lbs boneless)
45 ml (3 tbsp) Village Gourmet Blend
1 bottle (350ml/11.8oz) Gourmet du Village chipotle maple sauce
10 buns or 24 sliders
Everything we do
Preheat oven to 350F (175C) or turn on slow cooker.
Rub pork shoulder generously with Pulled Pork Rub. Place in roasting pan or slow cooker. Pour beer over, cover, and cook for 4 hours, turning once. Pork is done when internal temperature reaches 170F (80C), or when meat pulls apart easily with a fork. Remove from oven and let rest for 20 minutes. Remove from roasting pan and place on a cutting board. Using tongs and a fork, remove any fat and bone and break meat into bite-sized pieces. Add enough Village Gourmet Maple Chipotle Sauce to moisten meat.
Serve hot on bread with extra sauce on the side, coleslaw and a pickle.
